3D printing is more than a hobby. It's a way to take back control.
You design a part. You make it yourself. You solve a real problem with your own hands.
For many veterans, learning to create and repair real objects brings back a sense of pride, purpose and confidence.
And sometimes, that small feeling is the starting point for a lot more.
"It keeps my head above water, I swear. If it can do the same for others, we're golden."
Yanick Sergerie, veteran who took the program (translated from French)

About the English cohort
AcadƩmie 3D teaches 3D printing in French since 2021. This is the first English cohort.
- Separate from the French courses. You join a group of English-speaking veterans.
- English audio for every course. The English versions are being produced now.
- The software on screen is already in English. What you see in the videos is exactly what you see on your computer.
Your instructor
I'm Vince. I've been 3D printing since 2017 and teaching since 2021. I've trained beginners, engineers and members of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Meet Pierre Ouellet
At 12, Pierre lost the use of his legs. He kept going and became a para-triathlon athlete.
In July 2024, he bought a Bambu Lab P1S. His goal: make adapted bike grips for the Paralympic Games in August 2024.
In just one month, he went from "I don't know what modeling software is" to modeling his own project. His grips were printed in time for the competition.
What Pierre says about the program (translated from French)
"I've taken many online courses to teach myself different subjects. But for the complexity and precision of 3D design, especially to model objects and parts, you need supervision and validation of your projects while you learn.
You will always doubt your actions. That can take a lot of time and discourage you, making things harder.
Designing your parts is a big step, but printing is another challenge. It's with the expertise of the person teaching you that you learn to overcome all that."
